The 12th National Educator's Conference
Kumon Philippine's 12th National Educators' Conference
Kumon Philippines recently held its 12th National Educators’ Conference at the Shangri-La Hotel Makati last April 14, 2010.
More than 200 Kumon Instructors and staff from all over the Philippines convened at the hotel’s Rizal ballroom to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the Kumon Method. The event was an opportunity for the instructors to learn how to further improve their instruction skills with the aim of enabling Kumon students to advance beyond their school grade level.
Kumon Asia and Oceania President Akira Hamanaka graced the event and he expounded on the importance of good, proper, and effective communication among instructors, parents, and students. The highlight of the event was the keynote presentation and the panel discussion participated by several of Kumon's experienced instructors.
In the evening, the instructor’s networking dinner featured several presentations from instructors and staff. The awarding ceremony followed where Kumon Philippines recognized its instructors who have dedicated 10 years of their lives in sharing Kumon to their communities, and instructors who have excelled in their instruction of the Kumon Method.
Capping the day’s event was the closing remark delivered by Kumon Philippine’s new president, Tadashi Nakatsuka. He encouraged everyone to continue Kumon Philippine’s culture of open communication and motivated each Kumon instructor and staff to continue pursuing the potential of the children for the development of the Philippines.
