Kumon Center Assistant

Job Summary

A Kumon Center Assistant is responsible for facilitating the learning and development of Kumon students by ensuring that the right instructional method and center practices are implemented.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in basic and/or high level Math and/or Reading using the Kumon Method.
  • Communicate with students and parents on study progress and skills development.
  • Mark student worksheets and student development in the record book.
  • Plan study of worksheets and plot goals for students.
  • Assist the Chief Instructor in executing daily tasks.

Skills Preference

  • Has good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Able to assist students in basic and high level Math or Reading with materials provided Kumon.
  • Well-organized and has self-discipline

Career Level (e.g. 1-4 Years Experienced Employee)

  • At least one (1) year work related experience, but fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.

Qualification (e.g Bachelor’s/College Degree)

  • Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in education, or any relevant field.
  • Professional Teacher License is a definite advantage.

Reading Coordinator

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and create learning opportunities for Instructors and Center assistants, including the following activities –
    • Creating with teammates the instructional story line based on the company’s annual direction
    • Conducting research through Center visits and consultations with Instructors
    • Providing assistance to field staff in researching, preparing materials for and conducting learning opportunities
  • Assist field members in coordination of voluntary study groups or mentoring groups and/or monitor instructor meetings
  • Consult with ADM to schedule center visits and sharpening observation skills and knowledge on study situation of Kumon students
  • Assist instructors, staff and assistants regarding worksheet content and instruction concerns

Skills Preference

  • Has strong interest in research, writing, and creation of training and seminar materials.
  • High proficiency in English.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work in a team and at the same time, work on own initiative without supervision.
  • Computer literate in a variety of packages including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and video editing software.

Career Level (e.g. 1-4 Years Experienced Employee)

  • At least one (1) year work related experience, but fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.

Kumon Associate

Job Summary

Kumon Associates will undergo a comprehensive 6-month probationary training to learn about the Kumon Method and the different facets of the company. Successful trainees will become Area Development Managers who have an active role towards franchise center development through regular center visits, center visit reports, and consultation with our Kumon instructors.

RESPONSIBILITIES – AREA DEVELOPMENT MANAGER 

  • Provide support to Kumon instructors (franchisees) with center concerns like, but not limited to the following:
    • Center Operations
    • Kumon Instruction
    • Communication
  • Strengthen center development through regular center visits, center visit reports, and consultation with instructors.
  • Create, modify and conduct learning opportunities like center training and community meetings to Kumon Instructors and Center Assistants

Skills Preference

  • Has high interest in learning and education
  • Able to work effectively in teams and individually
  • Has high regard for customer service
  • Can work well with minimal supervision
  • Has high regard for teamwork and work commitment
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing

Resource Development Group Leader

Job Summary

We are in need of a Resource Development Group Leader

Directly reporting to – Assistant General Manager Subordinates:

  • HR Manager and team
  • General affairs and legal Manager and team

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handles overall functions of the following division/teams
  • Human Resources Division
  • General Affairs and Legal Division
  • Directly involved in Franchise Agreements, Administration Manuals, and other legal matters with the help of legal team
  • Monitor General HR & GA services
  • Oversee day to day running of the HR & GA tasks
  • Ensures KPIs and General Affairs targets are achieved.
  • Monitor problems and issues and promptly reporting to General Manager, AGM
  • Coordinate with Government agencies , Labour agencies , Lawyer related, as needed

Skills Preference

  • Knowledge in labor and other laws is a definite advantage
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Good interpersonal, well-organized, initiative, service minded and solving skills.
  • Has high regard for teamwork and collaboration
  • Able to work under pressure and timeline.

  • At least 15 years of work experience in the field of Human Resource, General Affairs, with which at least 7 years of experience includes leadership or teams
