Kumon Philippines donates PhP 1M to Yolanda victims

In support of the disaster relief and rebuilding efforts for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) particularly in the Visayas region, Kumon Philippines, Inc. donated P1 million to Gawad Kalinga on January 29, 2014. President of Kumon Philippines, Mr. Masanori Tsuji, handed over the check to Gawad Kalinga Executive Director, Mr. Jose Luis Oquiñena at the Gawad Kalinga office in Mandaluyong City.

Proceeds will go to the reconstruction of Yolanda victims’ homes in Brgy. Punta Mesa, Manapla, Negros Occidental.

Gawad Kalinga is a local non-government organization dedicated to building peaceful and productive communities in the Philippines and around the globe.
