Like most parents, my husband and I want our children to build a strong foundation in learning. Enrolling Tiano and Leandro in the Kumon program of Sampaguita Avenue – Holy Spirit Center has been one of the best decisions we have made for their education. Beyond their academic progress in math and reading, our children have developed valuable traits—discipline, independence, and confidence.
Tiano under the guidance of Teacher Sylvia since 2022, while Leandro started learning with Teacher Michelle in 2024. Admittedly, the children initially found it challenging to complete their daily worksheets, having begun the program at young ages three and four. However, through the teachers' dedication and follow-up at home, Tiano and Leandro started to appreciate the importance of being consistent, responsible, and diligent. They learned to read instructions carefully, answer questions, and correct mistakes on their own, which allowed them to take ownership of their learning. Because of this routine, their confidence has grown so much. Every time they progress to the next level, they feel proud of their accomplishment.
The discipline, independence, and confidence they gained are also reflected in other parts of their learning and interactions. Tiano has begun participating—and even winning—in math olympiads, while Leandro is praised for reading and writing well in class. As parents, it warms our hearts to see our children believe in their own abilities. We truly appreciate how Kumon is helping them build discipline, independence, and confidence while they're still young. We are therefore confident that these habits and attitudes will make them strong, responsible, and courageous adults. Kaya naman #SalamatKumon.
